Shallow warm water perfect for kids and kayaking.
Very quiet, usually less than 10 cars/day, because of the location. Friendly neighbours: empty lots on each side.
Taxi service, firefighters service all year round; Ambulance service in the summer.

Ferries: Most people travel to Savary Island through Lund, from Powell River. They take a ferry to Langdale, on the Sunshine Coast, and from Horseshoe Bay, near Vancouver. Then, from Langdale, they drive through Sechelt to Earls Cove, following directions towards Powell River or Earls Cove. Then, they take the ferry from Earls Cove to Saltery Bay and drive through Powell River to Lund. The ferries charges one way only. You should take the earliest ferry in the morning, usually 7:20 am (please verify the summer schedule), and you should reserve from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale, and vice-versa.
