This male Coastal Wolf lived a lone existence for 8 years on Discovery Island until he decided to swim for the City of Victoria. He was tranquilized, radio collared and released, only to shot by a hunter. His survival story captivated many and highlighted the plight of apex predators.

This Cape Fur Seal Pup is entangled by discarded plastic fishing waste.
OCN and their dedicated team, humanely catch, detangle and release the seals back into the ocean, to save them from a slow, painful death.
